Hey guys!
Yes!!! Finals are finally over (at least for me, and if they aren't for you, hopefully they will be by week's end)!
A few things:
First, we've got the go-ahead from Atlantic Station Mall to carol on Tuesday, December 20, 2005, from 5-6:30pm. I spoke with the special events manager and he said just to begin caroling on the Banana Republic corner so we don't get kicked out by security. Please let me know if you're interested in coming. We need at least 5 people and so far, we have 4 definite and 1 maybe, a few of which are not specifically part of the YAG but would like to carol with us anyways.:) I told them that was fine. I will be mentioning it to the general congregation this Sunday, December 18, 2005, in case more people in the church are also interested.
Second, this is something I have not yet talked to Ted about: Initially when we started the group, Trina wanted very badly to do a youth sponsored lunch, and a few of the other members of the church made it clear that it is probably not reasonable given our current numbers and resources to feed the whole church one Sunday morning. I don't know if that's true or not, I know how often I forget to bring something as it is, but I do believe that just because something doesn't seem reasonable doesn't mean that it can't happen with God... soo what I am proposing is not that we go all out and do lunch one Sunday for the congregation. What I am going to propose instead is that one first Sunday in early 2006, the young adult group go down and do the work that the ladies usually do and let them attend the service. Of course, I'll have to talk to the women (I don't know if they're all women so if they aren't, I apologize ahead of time!) and to Ted first.
We WILL still be meeting this Sunday, December 18, 2005, after the Christmas Cantata service, at Fellini's, as always.:)
Our first meeting in January will be January 15 or 22nd. It WILL be held... One of those Sundays is the day after my sister's birthday, so I don't know if I will attend 10th Street that Sunday or her church. The other (the 15th) will POSSIBLY be the day after I get back in town from Savannah, but I should be in Atlanta that Sunday. I've actually got a speech already planned (I know you're all excited!!!:)) so I can't wait already.
Don't forget to sign the address book this Sunday at Fellini's.
If you've any suggestions for fun things to do in the new year, let me know, or post it in a comment on here for everybody to read!
See you soon!
In His Love,

Current Music: A Whole New World! (Aladdin Soundtrack)
Hey guys! Wow. I've got about 5 hours before I've gotta be up for work, but I'm going to make this first post anyway.
As of tonight, I have an address book specifically for this group, so at our next meeting on December 18th, please PLEASE make sure I have your info so I can contact you! You may give as little or as much info as you would like, though please give me at least one way to reach you.
Our next meeting is December 18, 2005- we have the choir cantada that day, but I'm still planning on it!
We now have a Young Adult Room!!! It is adjacent to the fellowship hall. If you need help finding it, ask. I do not know when we will first meet here, but I will definitely let you know. I am hoping we can meet more frequently.
I was THINKING (this isn't set in stone yet) that we (the youth group, or extend the invitation to the church) should do caroling this year. Since Atlantic Station just opened, we can either go door to door singing, or Ted suggested we could also sing at the new mall. The tentative date for that would be December 20th, let me know if you are interested.
Also, Ted mentioned Habitat for Humanity a few weeks ago, which right now is asking for $$, but sooner or later will need builders, so if you are interested in doing this, let me know. I have requested more info from Ted and I'll let you know more as I receive it.
If anyone needs prayer requests let me know. Or if you want it to remain unspoken but want prayers that's fine too.
... as long as there are final exams, there will be prayer in schools! Man do I know that all too well.:)
Also for all the people of our church who are not able to make it on Sunday mornings, and all those around the world who find themselves in uncertain/undesirable circumstances, especially at this joyful time of year.
I can't think of anything else I need to say since it's so late, but if I think of more later, I'll post it.
Good night, God bless.
